CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Leather is a natural product and with the right care grows ever more beautiful with age. Some small scars may be apparent and enhance the natural finish, they should not be considered as a defect.
Leather Care
Regularly wipe away any excess dirt and grease with a damp cloth, allow to dry naturally and then treat with our own Black Country leathercare or a leather cream, wax or balsam conditioner as required.
Avoid using saddle soaps, solvents or oils as these have tendencies to strip the leather of its finish and natural goodness.
Important:
- It is VERY important that you treat your saddle initially before using to help maintain the long term finish of the leather.
- If your saddle gets wet, allow to dry naturally, DO NOT subject it to direct heat or sunshine.
- DO NOT store in extreme temperatures.
- Regularly check your saddle for condition, wear and tear.
- Please use the saddle only on the horse to which is was fitted, as using it on another horse can considerably alter the shape and could lead to problems. Regularly monitor the fit of your saddle and check for any signs of discomfort.
- Avoid riding in jeans with inside leg seams.
- Avoid using inferior quality covered stirrup leathers with nylon stitching.
